Darren Coomer joins Swiss Re’s iptiQ as Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO)
We are pleased to welcome a new member to iptiQ’s management team: Today, 23 August 2021, Darren Coomer joins Swiss Re’s iptiQ as its Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO).
Carlo Bewersdorf, CEO iptiQ, said: “We are excited to welcome Darren Coomer as iptiQ’s new CTOO – Darren will play a pivotal role in shaping our tech strategy and ensuring excellence in sales and marketing on a global scale. A part of this will mean further sharpening our digital B2B2C insurance platform that allows trusted brands to swiftly roll-out new insurance products and will enable our customer-centric and tech-driven growth ambitions.”
Darren joins iptiQ from the S&A Group, a UK based technology and business change transformation consultancy, which he founded in 2010. Over the last 10 years he has helped numerous start-ups, InsurTechs and large corporates to deliver innovative financial services products, navigate major technological transformations and shift towards agile, customer focused strategies. Darren has held several Board-level positions, including three years as Chief Information Officer at The Co-Op; and two years at life insurer LV=.
Darren will be based in London, and describes himself as entrepreneurial and authentic, with a knack for bringing people together and a love for building things, rolling his sleeves up and getting things done.
