Andreas Schertzinger Former Regional Executive iptiQ EMEA

Andreas Schertzinger has been appointed Chief Executive Officer iptiQ EMEA P&C with effect from 1 March 2018.

Joining Swiss Re in 2013, Andreas Schertzinger started as Head of Reinsurance Financial Planning & Analysis where he oversaw analytics, target setting, planning and performance management for Reinsurance globally. His responsibilities included Financial Management for the segments P&C and L&H, as well as Market Division Globals. In 2016, he took over the lead for the Technology & Innovation initiative within Reinsurance, driving the digitalization of products and processes.

Prior to joining Swiss Re, Mr Schertzinger was a Partner at McKinsey & Company. There he held leadership roles in the European and North American Insurance Practices, advising clients on strategy and M&A, and managing implementation initiatives in underwriting, claims, and operations transformation.

Mr Schertzinger was born in 1977 and is a German citizen. He holds a master's degree in Industrial & Financial Engineering and a PhD in Corporate Finance.
