After a while, he realized that insurance was more fascinating to him than litigation and decided to take the big step and join an International Third-Party Administrator where he fell in love with Claims. iptiQ captured his attention by being a new and very ambitious player. He joined iptiQ almost three years ago and never looked back since.

Marcello's twins take up most of his free time but when he gets the chance, he loves to spend some time trekking. He is also an avid reader, and particularly loves fantasy sagas.

How do you like working in your team?

My team is, of course, the best in iptiQ, not that I am biased or anything! I feel we have built a relationship based on mutual respect and trust which I can clearly feel in all our interactions. I always feel pushed to share my knowledge and learn as much as possible from some of the most knowledgeable people with whom I had the luck to work.

What do you value and enjoy most about working for iptiQ by Swiss Re?

Swiss Re gives you great structure and international reach, on which you can build your contribution and be confident that your voice will be heard. In iptiQ, on top of that, you get an incredible push to be creative and think outside the box. I value that we have people coming from very different industries, which creates a stimulating environment filled with new ideas and other perspectives on our work. I always found my interaction with colleagues from very different backgrounds or countries to be extremely important to my personal development.

What are you most proud of in terms of the impact your work has?

I am proud that my team's work is shaping the future of iptiQ and of the whole insurtech movement. We have great visibility and impact on the market, and this reflects immediately on our own perception of the value of our contribution.

And finally, if you were going to encourage someone to join the iptiQ team what would you say to them, in one sentence?

Join iptiQ, I promise you will never be bored again.
